Piracetam suggested uses include for Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory dysfunction, alcoholism, Raynaud's phenomenon, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), stroke, tardive dyskinesia, dyslexia, brain injury, and vertigo.

Piracetam is approved in many European countries for myoclonus, and aging-related conditions (dementia, Alzheimer's).

Some clinical studies show piracetam is effective for dyslexia, brain injury, and vertigo.
