acetaminophen-codeine oral will decrease the level or effect of prasugrel oral by inhibition of GI absorption. Applies only to oral form of both agents. Co-administration of opioid agonists delay and reduce absorption of prasugrel and its active metabolite presumably by slowing gastric emptying; consider the use of a parenteral anti-platelet agent in acute coronary syndrome patients requiring co-administration of opioid agonists
