carbamazepine oral will decrease the level or effect of norethindrone acetate oral by affecting hepatic/intestinal enzyme CYP3A4 metabolism. Avoid coadministration unless benefit outweighs risk. Concomitant use may increase incidence of menstruation associated adverse effects (amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia).
