itraconazole oral will increase the level or effect of midazolam iv by altering drug metabolism. Should not be taken with oral midazolam. In some occasions this combination is given with IV midazolam is used.

itraconazole oral will increase the level or effect of midazolam iv by affecting hepatic/intestinal enzyme CYP3A4 metabolism. Coadministration of oral midazolam and itraconazole is contraindicated during and 2 weeks after itraconazole treatment. Use IV midazolam with great caution in patients receiving itraconazole, consider reduced initial doses whenever possible and closely monitor.
