phenobarbital oral and norethindrone acetate-ethinyl estradiol-iron oral
phenobarbital oral will decrease the level or effect of norethindrone acetate-ethinyl estradiol-iron oral by altering drug metabolism. This combination reduces the effect of the hormonal contraceptive and may increase incidence of menstruation associated adverse effects.
phenobarbital oral and norethindrone acetate-ethinyl estradiol-iron oral
phenobarbital oral will decrease the level or effect of norethindrone acetate-ethinyl estradiol-iron oral by affecting hepatic/intestinal enzyme CYP3A4 metabolism. Avoid coadministration unless benefit outweighs risk. When coadministered, hormonal contraceptives are not a reliable method of effective birth control. Concomitant use may increase incidence of menstruation associated adverse effects (amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia).
