Glutathione

Glutathione is an herbal supplement which can be used for treatment in male infertility (intramuscular use), plaque deposits in the arteries (atherosclerosis [intravenous, oral use]), cancers, chemotherapy adjunct (intramuscular, intravenous use), immunostimulant, liver diseases, lung diseases (inhaled use), memory loss, and Parkinson's disease (intravenous, oral use).

• Glutathione is possibly effective for chemotherapy toxicity.
• Glutathione is available under the following different brand names: Gamma-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine, GSH, L-glutathione, N-(N-L-gamma-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl) glycine.

Dosages of Glutathione:

• Intravenously

Dosage Considerations – Should be Given as Follows:

Chemotherapy Adjunct

• 600 mg/day intramuscularly days 2-5 of chemotherapy
• 1.5 g/m2 intravenously before chemotherapy

Male Infertility

• 600 mg intramuscularly every other day for two months

Oral

• 250 mg orally once daily
• Dose range: 50-600 mg/day

Inhaled

• 600 mg via nebulizer twice daily
