Jones fracture is a fracture of the bone of the fifth (pinky) toe on the side of the foot. This can be caused by overuse, increased pressure on the feet due to any reason, or running on uneven surfaces. Symptoms and signs include a sharp pain on the outside of the foot, swelling of the affected area, bruising or discoloration, and tenderness to touch.
