What Is Nimodipine and How Does It Work?

Nimodipine is a prescription medication used for the treatment of subarachnoid hemorrhage.

What Are Dosages of Nimodipine?

Adult dosage

Gel capsule

Oral solution (Nymalize)

  • 30 mg/10 mL(DSC)
  • 60mg/20 mL(DSC)
  • 6mg/mL

Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Adult dosage

  • 60 mg orally every 4hrs for 21 days; begin therapy within 96 hours of subarachnoid hemorrhage
