Orudis (ketoprofen) and Celebrex (celecoxib) are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis. Orudis and Celebrex are also used to treat menstrual pain and cramps.
Celebrex is also used to treat familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) and acute pain.
The brand name Orudis is no longer available in the U.S. It is available in its generic form, ketoprofen.
Side effects of Orudis and Celebrex that are similar include upset stomach, indigestion/heartburn, stomach/abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloating, gas, dizziness, nervousness, headache, skin rash, and runny nose.
Side effects of Orudis that are different from Celebrex include unusual tiredness, constipation, lightheadedness, drowsiness, loss of appetite, itching, dry mouth, increased sweating, blurred vision, and ringing in your ears.
Side effects of Celebrex that are different from Orudis include nausea, stuffy nose, sore throat, insomnia, and serious stomach and intestinal ulcers.
Both Orudis and Celebrex may interact with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), blood thinners, and lithium.

What Drugs Interact With Orudis?
Ketoprofen may interact with cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, probenecid, blood thinners, steroids, aspirin, or other nonsterioidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use. During the first 6 months of pregnancy, ketoprofen should be used only when prescribed. Ketoprofen is not recommended for use during the last 3 months of pregnancy due to possible harm to the fetus and interference with normal labor/delivery. It is unknown if ketoprofen passes into breast milk or if it will harm a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
