Medical Definition of Hyperthyroid
Hyperthyroid: Having an excessive amount of thyroid hormone resulting from an overactive thyroid gland or from taking too much thyroid hormone. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism can include increased heart rate, weight loss, depression, and cognitive slowing.
