Dr. Verneuil grew up in Orange County and played high school water polo. He attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. Dr. Verneuil graduated from Mayo Medical School . He completed six years of Internship and Residency training in head and neck surgery at UCLA. While at Mayo Medical School and UCLA's School of Medicine, Dr. Verneuil completed research projects in the basic physiology of the vocal cords during phonation. He also participated in research investigating treatments for vocal cord paralysis. During his residency training, Dr. Verneuil studied laryngology and voice disorders with Dr. Gerald Berke, Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA. Part of this training was dedicated to vocal cord surgery, vocal cord injection techniques for collagen and Botox, vocal cord reinnervation procedures and treatments for spasmodic dysphonia. Dr. Verneuil is Board Certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology . He is in private practice in Mission Viejo, California. Dr. Verneuil practices general otolaryngology , but also has a specialty interest in voice dysfunction/laryngology, head and neck oncology, pediatric otolaryngology and sleep disorders.
